About

History: When Lord Shani Dev (Saturn) came to Braj for Krishna's darshan, Krishna appeared to him in the form of a Koyal (Cuckoo bird) in this forest (Kokilavan) to ease Shani's fierce gaze.

Pujas Performed: Shani Tailabhishekam (oil offering), Navagraha Shanti Puja, and Aarti.

Benefits of Puja: Highly effective in pacifying Shani Dosha (Sade Sati or Dhaiya), bringing relief from hardships, and granting professional success.

Sevas: Offering mustard oil, black sesame seeds, and black cloth to Lord Shani.

Fact: Devotees perform a 3 km Parikrama (circumambulation) of the temple barefoot through the forest on Saturdays to appease Lord Shani.
