About

History: Highly revered by the Vallabhacharya (Pushtimarg) sect. Gokul is the town where Krishna was secretly brought across the Yamuna to be raised by Yashoda to protect him from King Kansa.

Pujas Performed: Ashtayama Seva (worship done 8 times a day representing different times of a child's day).

Benefits of Puja: Fosters innocent, unadulterated love for God, completely devoid of fear or formal awe.

Sevas: Palna Seva (cradle swinging) and offering of milk and butter.

Deities: Worshippers revere Krishna strictly in his infant form (Ladoo Gopal) without any weapons.

Fact: The temple uniquely celebrates Janmashtami exactly one day after Mathura, reflecting the time it took Vasudeva to carry the newborn Krishna across the river to Gokul.

Timings: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Darshan Booking:
No official online VIP booking; general entry is free.
