About

History: Established by Swami Haridas in the 16th century, the image of Lord Krishna was originally worshipped in Nidhivan before the current temple was constructed in 1864.

Pujas Performed: Shringar Aarti, Rajbhog, and Shayan Aarti (Mangala Aarti is only performed once a year on Janmashtami).

Benefits of Puja: Grants peace of mind, deepens devotion (Bhakti), and brings immense joy and harmony to the family.

Sevas: Phool Bangla (elaborate floral decoration during summers), Chhappan Bhog, and Poshak Seva.

Deities: Lord Krishna lovingly worshipped in the tribhanga (three-bent) posture as Banke Bihari Ji.

Fact: There are no bells in the temple because it is believed the loud sound might startle the child-like Lord. The curtain is repeatedly opened and closed during Darshan to prevent the Lord from being mesmerized by a devotee's love and following them home.

Timings: 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM | 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Darshan Booking:
No official online VIP booking; general entry is free.
